Potential |

If you have the talent|ability|potential, but you do not make full use of what you have been blessed with, then it is a pity. Rather, it is a waste. A waste of resources which we can ill-afford.

Not developing one's latent potential to the fullest is like a samurai fighting with a sheathed katana of the finest quality; is it a sign of pride|arrogance|confidence, or is it merely due to the fact that one is a little lazy, and believes that things will work themselves work because of one's talent?

Whichever the case, talent without effort can only take you so far. Ability has its limitations, which only effort can release.

If you do not use what you have been blessed with, it is likely that you will be able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
