Eat, Drink, Be Merry

This week, I went to eat yakiniku and also attended a party. Money makes the world go round, so they say; I would rather think that Food makes my world revolve. haha

I love the dessert, supposedly it was mango pudding, but the greedy me added strawberries, kiwi, starfruits to make it more colorful and of course more delicious. Yummy!!!

Now my stomach is purring contentedly :)

F is for Fool/Ferguson

I came back from my Kyoto trip, and when I checked Soccernet, what do I see? Our dear Sir Alex Ferguson has managed to outwit himself and cause us to lose to bottom club Bolton Wanderers. Wonder if he is getting senile.

It was a lousy day for us, since Arsenal won, now they have opened up a potential 6 point gap. What a way to shoot ourselves in the foot!

Oh well, at least we made it 5 out of 5 in the Champions League, while dear Arsenal lost, but somehow victory doesn't taste as sweet knowing we are trailing in the League. Maybe I am getting greedy too. Hmm, let's count our blessings and be thankful. :)

Pray for another looooooooong run of victories. Go Man U go!!!

In between entries... the good old days...

Choosing and uploading photos can be quite a chore. Sometimes I miss the olden days when life was so much simpler, no digital cameras, no online blogs, no Facebook, and we would just travel and enjoy the scenery and the company, and then develop the photos taken using NON-digital cameras, put them into photo albums and show them to our friends.

Simple things are the best, for a simpleton like me, so I tell myself sometimes. But things do not always go the way we want them to, because in this river of Life, the course is not always straight; rather it meanders quite frequently. We are all rowing our little boats, flowing towards the sea.

Ah, I feel like going to the sea one of these days. It is probably too cold for swimming, but somehow, just going to the sea and standing/sitting there listening to the rhythmic lapping of the waves, feeling the gentle caress of the sea breeze on my face, smelling the salty scent of the sea, and watching the orange Sun slowly set below the horizon with a pinkish tinge helps me to recharge my batteries.

Actually, am I as simple as I think I am? Sometimes I think I am like an open book, while on other occasions, I can be quite an enigma.

Autumn in Kyoto - On the way & Kinkakuji

Unbelievable, but I have been in Japan for nearly 6 years, and I have not been to Kyoto during my fave season. Therefore, I am very happy to have been able to spend Autumn in Kyoto, where the scenery was breathtaking and the company was outstanding. :)
