At the end of the day

Life is what you make of it, nothing more, nothing less.

There are probably a lot of things that we want to do, but given the limited time and resources which we possess, it is reasonable to assume that we will probably not be able to fulfill all of them.

In which case, priorities come into play. Some things or for that matter, some people will take precedence over others. The truth be told, Life is not fair. No matter what they say, we all want to have our cake and eat it. The ladies want to be treated equally, yet they also want their men to treat them like the princesses you see in Disney animated movies. The guys, as you know, want girls who have both form and substance. Of course, before feminists and MCPs out there start shooting verbal volleys at yours truly, these are merely sexual stereotypes. lol

Still, at the end of the day, we have to decide what we value most or more in life. There will always be tradeoffs, because that is the way it is. Yet that is what makes Life interesting, isn't it?

The way we decide, the way we choose, the way we behave, the way we act, there is no way that is definitely right or definitely wrong. It is all up to you.

At the end of the day, it is all up to you. What really matters to you. And what you really want. And how much you really want it. When you know, then you will be unstoppable.

C is for Class...

and C is for Champions. We won on the last day of the season, while Chelsea could only draw. It would have been crap if we did not win, because no one deserved to be champions more than us. We worked our socks off, we scored the most goals, conceded the least, and we never stopped believing in ourselves. Even though some people didn't believe, my faith never faltered, not for a moment.

I am glad we won, I am glad that class won over money, because I knew that we could do it.

This season has been unbelievable, and Ronaldo has been phenomenal, while Giggs has become the most-capped player in Manchester United's history. How apt that is, because not too long ago, I was thinking about the numbers 7 and 11, and ultimately, both of them demonstrated their abilities. It was fantastic that Giggs scored the winning goal, the goal that decided everything.

Giggs was the reason I became a Man U fan, the season they lost the title to Blackburn, and he will always be my hero. There are and will be other heroes too, such as Ronaldo, Vidic, and Peter Schmeichel and Eric Cantona.

I am very very very happy that we are champions. Next up, the Champions League Final. Let us achieve the Double, for Giggs, for Scholes, for all of us.

Golden Week came and went by in a flash, and I realized that there are so many things I wanted to write about but haven't. >_<

Ideas are good, and good ideas are better, but if I neither write nor type them out, then they are as almost good as wasted.

It is like potential. Or like talent. You can say, he has the potential to be the best, or she has so much talent. However, if they do not fulfill their potential, or if they fail to exploit their talents, then it is a pity.

I seem to be rambling, and in a not very positive way too...アカン！もう止めや！lol

なんだか日本語で書こうかなっていう気分。なんちゃって。 I will stick to English this time.

I spent one whole day recharging, and then the other 3 days were kind of busy. Busy but fun, so I guess that is all that matters. I brought friends around, and then had to help my friend with his problem, which made me late for the SSAJ event. Really paiseh but apparently the juniors had a great time, and I managed to join them for ktv, which was super fun! It's been a while since I sang ktv, so I am happy that the glass didn't shatter when I was singing. hahaha

There wasn't enough time for the B'z, Aqua Timez, and Greeeen songs that I am currently listening to, but I guess I can sing them soon enough. *winks

All in all, even though I did not travel very far this GW, it was very enjoyable. I guess the company makes the difference. Going out with friends, going out with people who you can click with, that is a pleasure. :)

One Goal

One Goal was all that separated the winners from the losers.

Man U vs Barca, Chelsea vs Liverpool

The scoreline may not be flattering, and it may even seem mocking, but the truth is, nobody remembers the losers; even the losers themselves do not want to remember.

Yet we must be aware of the difference between these 2 semi-final results. Man U won because we scored the one and the only goal that mattered, despite the absence of Vidic and Rooney. We played after a loss to Chelsea, without our formidable aegis and with our aura of invincibility seemingly-shattered. However, we triumphed.

In contrast, Liverpool lost because they conceded a goal in the first leg. If they didn't, they would have gone through on aggregate, since they managed to do what they could not in so many previous visits to Stamford Bridge. Ultimately, they paid the price for that one goal.

Is there a lesson to be learnt here? Definitely, Life is all about lessons and learning.

I think that the most important point, at least for me, is that a good defence is priceless. True, we were without Vidic, but the way we defended, over two legs, home and away, showed our desire to win. In contrast, Liverpool managed to break their scoring duck at Chelsea, but their defence was inadequate.

The foundation for a good offence is a strong and stable defence, no?

Foundations are important, even if the basic stuff seems boring.
