La Poesia - Contradiction Conflux

Started the migration of some of my poems to my new blog here, but guess it takes time.

Contradiction Conflux

Why are human beings

Always full of contradictions?
We say one thing and do another,
We love and hate one another

Laughing out loud while our eyes glisten
We see yet not perceive
We hear yet not listen
Lusting after results we seek to achieve
We label our conscience as treason
Yet we flatter to deceive
Procrastinate past the harvest season
We do not sow yet hope to reap and receive

Our lives ephemeral

Yet we long for love eternal
What price your flawed convictions
That clash with your feelings.
